Nowhere to go

Can't teach an old Dog new tricks (Seasick Steve)
I often hear people complaining that there is nothing to do in Belfast, what a load of crap. Take yesterday for example. We got up and had brekkie then I went and got a new tyre for the car, £60 ffs, a skite up to the recycling centre to get rid of the wino wine bottles, only 1 or two LOL.
That took us up to an early lunch, bacon & eggs. OK, what to do next. Nobody Cares For Me ( The Be Good Tanyas). A quick triple S (Think about it) and round to the bus (No drinking and driving), well we might get thirsty.
Right, where to first? Lost in the Harbour(Tom Waits). 10 minutes round to The O Yeah centre where there was a FREE gig on as part of the Belfast Blues Festival. In we went and we where hit by the sound of a young band, sorry don't know their name, bangin' out some real blues rock. I had a quick look around and discovered there was a bar, but I resisted. So we stayed and listened for a while.
When their set had finished they got the whistles, whoops, claps, the heap 'cause they were good.
It was gonna take a while for the next group to set up so we dandered round to The Duke Of York, 3 Min's away, for a swalley. Deus Ibi Est(Isobel Campbell& Mark Lanegan) I had a pint and my good lady had a half.
We sat there in the sunshine for a while and watched the world go by.
This is summat you should try 'cause never know who or what you see. We were only there for about half an hour and we saw Karl Johnson, he plays Twister Turrel in Larkrise to Candleford and a couple of other faces who are on the tele but can't remember their names.
Drinks finished we dandered back to the Oh Yeah Centre again. Mean Old 'Frisco (Muddy Waters). There was a nice little three piece called Delta Stone and they played everything from Hendrix to Gallagher. The lead guitar/singer had great rock presence.
Stayed there for a while 'til the hunger pangs kicked in.
The good lady suggested we just had a snack and order in when we got home, so we headed round to the Black Box. There was a private function on so we went into The Green Room to see what they had to offer. Strolling Down The Highway (Nick Drake). We had a very nice pizza Slice and a glass of wine, just enough to take the hunger off. They played a good mix of tunes on the player, so all in all a very nice experience.
After that a stroll to the bus-stop and home.
So please don't tell me there is nothing to do in Belfast. As for Sunday I will tell you later.
Mud (Reverand Peytons Big Damn Band.
Just get out there and look for it ffs
